24 hours to build New Year's Eve for 3000+ at Express Avenue

New Year's Eve, 31 December 2025, at Express Avenue, Chennai. A mega event for 3000+ people with Big Bang Entertainment, and the biggest AudioWaves production in our first 1.5 years. Lights, sound, visuals and staging were built from scratch in 24 hours of non-stop production.

The numbers

• Stage: 60 × 30 × 4 ft.
• LED wall: 700 sq ft.
• Sound: 20 × RCF HDL 20A tops and 10 subwoofers.
• Console: Behringer WING 48.
• Truss: 64 × 20 ft.
• Lighting: 20 Sharpies, 70 LED par cans, 12 blinders and 12 strobes.
• Crowd area: 12 tents (10 × 10) and 60 barricades.

24 hours, from empty to countdown

Building a show of this size in one day comes down to planning before the trucks arrive. Every piece, from the stage deck and truss to the line arrays, LED wall and lighting, has to go up in the right order, so sound and lights can be tested before the gates open. The whole production went up from scratch in 24 hours of non-stop work.

What it proved

A night for 3000+ people is a different scale from a club night or a wedding. Delivering it in 24 hours showed what the AudioWaves team and inventory can do when the brief is big.
