Most lighting designs use every colour the fixtures can make. For Red Room Volume 2.0 in Chennai, in September 2026, we did the opposite: one colour, everywhere.

The idea: drench the room

Red strobes, red par cans and red lasers. Nothing else. When every light in the room shares one colour, the room stops looking like a venue and starts feeling like a different dimension. Faces, smoke, walls and the dance floor all turn the same deep red, and the strobes and lasers give it movement.

Why single-colour lighting works

A single colour is a strong, simple idea that people remember and photograph. It also makes every change in the lighting (a strobe hit, a laser sweep) feel bigger, because there is nothing else competing with it. It is a concept any venue can take on, and it works best when the sound matches the mood.
